The Pai area has various hiking and trekking trails and paths leading to the surrounding mountains and peaks. With a choice of different distance and length, of medium difficulty, our hikes and treks are suitable for everyone, young and old, from 1 to 3 days, staying at night in local homestay or sleeping in a tent.

Special tours from 1 to 7 days for a custom made trip at your request, according to your wishes, your desiderata and your budget, to discover the Province of Mae Hong Son and the North of Thailand with family or friends. Morning Alms Giving

If you are an early bird, you will appreciate the serenity and tranquility of Ban Phaem Bok, a Tai Yai village located a few kilometers from Purple Rain Homestay in a beautiful valley. Bathed in the Morning glow of the sun shining through the mist, you will participate with the inhabitants of the village in the traditional “Tak Bat” ceremony, the distribution of offerings and food to the Buddhist monks, an important act of daily life to obtain merits. 

Support & Donate

Participate with us in helping children living in remote mountain areas and not necessarily enjoying all the advantages offered by a standard education or a comfortable life. We provide support to schools and we organize donation of food, school supplies and other necessary equipment and materials. These donations are a joyful event and a pleasant time to spend with the children.

Cooking

During your stay at Purple Rain Homestay you will be able to initiate yourself in French cuisine, learn how to bake bread, the traditional French baguette, fruit tarts and jams according to the season, and many other dishes or recipes according to your choice and your preferences. Cooking is always a pleasant moment of satisfaction and sharing. 

Gardening

Vegetable garden is an essential part of the “New Normal” life. Growing your own vegetables and fruits is the basis of self-sufficiency, having a thriving garden means a simple and prosperous life. This is an opportunity to relearn forgotten and essential gestures.
